Huddersfield Town’s Under-23s side will travel to Bolton Wanderers for its final Professional Development League game of the 2016/17 season on Monday 24 April 2017.

The match will take place at the Lancashire FA (The County Ground, Thurston Rd, Leyland, PR25 2LF) at 7pm and supporters can watch the Young Terriers for just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

Frankie Bunn’s side comes into the game off the back of a 3-2 defeat to Birmingham City last week, ending the youngsters’ chances of reaching a top two spot.

Town’s team included six members of David Wagner’s First Team squad, with Jack Payne and Sean Scannell getting on the scoresheet. You can watch highlights from the game below courtesy of HTTV!

The defeat was Town’s Under-23s first in eight Professional Development League games, which leaves them sitting sixth with 41 points from 27 games; the highest place the youngsters can now finish is fourth.

When the two sides met earlier this season, Frankie Bunn’s youngsters drew 1-1 at PPG Canalside. Attacking midfielder Jack Boyle equalised for Town before a late Fraser Horsfall winner was denied by the offside flag.

Monday night’s opponent, Bolton Wanderers currently sit second in the PDL North table five points ahead of Town with 46.

Managed by David Lee, Wanderers come into the game off the back of a 10 match unbeaten streak, which includes eight wins, the last being a 3-1 victory over Sheffield United.

The Trotters currently sit a point ahead of third place Hull City having played an extra game and will be looking for a win to progress into the PDL Play-Off matches.
