Huddersfield Town’s Under-23s side will face Birmingham City on Tuesday 18 April 2017 in its final home Professional Development League match of the 2016/17 season.

The match kicks off at Huddersfield Town’s PPG Canalside Training Ground at 1pm and supporters can attend the match for just £1, which includes a free teamsheet.

Frankie Bunn’s youngsters are unbeaten in their last seven Professional Development League matches and have won their last four fixtures.

In the Under-23s’ last match, the young Terriers beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 away from home after goals from Harry Bunn and Olly Dyson; you can watch highlights from the match below courtesy of HTTV.

When the two teams met earlier this season, Frankie Bunn’s side was beaten 4-2 at Solihull Moors’ Autotech Stadium. Defender Dylan Cogill and striker Cedwyn Scott scored for Town against a Birmingham City side that included seven players who have appeared for the Club’s First Team.

As the 2016/17 season draws to a close, Huddersfield Town’s Under-23s side sits sixth with 41 points from 26 games; four points behind second placed Hull City with two games remaining.

Tuesday’s opponent, Birmingham City, sits once place behind Town in the PDL North table in seventh with 37 points from 25 matches.

Managed by Richard Beale, the Blues youngsters come into the match off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Bolton Wanderers, the side’s first defeat in seven matches.

As always, the top two sides from the northern table will qualify for the end-of-season Professional Development League Play-Offs against the equivalent southern table sides to crown the overall PDL champion.
