- Youth Loan deal runs until the end of the 2016/17 campaign

Huddersfield Town Development Squad defender Fraser Horsfall has joined Vanarama National League North side Salford City on a Youth Loan until the end of the 2016/17 season.

The 20 year-old centre back joins Salford, upon the conclusion of his two month loan spell at fellow National League North side Stalybridge Celtic.

Fraser started five games during his time at Stalybridge and helped the side that sits bottom on the National League North table win five points out of a possible 15 – only losing two matches. Fraser also scored in a 2-2 draw with Gainsborough Trinity.

The young defender now joins Salford City, managed by Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley, with the Club challenging at the top of the Vanarama National League North table and sits in second place; 11 points behind league leader AFC Fylde.

Horsfall played against Salford City for Stalybridge Celtic earlier this season as the defender’s new club won 1-0 in February.

This will be Fraser’s third loan spell of the season as he continues to move up the football pyramid. His first loan of the season was at Evo-Stik League Northern Premier First Division North side Trafford FC, where he made 11 starts and helped the Club keep six clean sheets.

Fraser could make his debut for the Club during Saturday’s game against Stockport County at Salford City’s Moor Lane ground.
