Huddersfield Town Academy goalkeeper Ryan Schofield kept a clean sheet on his England Under-18 debut as the Three Lions won 4-0 in Qatar on Monday evening.

The 17 year-old was handed his first cap for England at any age group by Head Coach Neil Dewsnip in the final of three friendlies in Qatar as the visitors ran out comfortable winners at the Al-Arabi Sports Club.

Ryan played the full 90 minutes of the international friendly, which England dominated. Click HERE for a full match report via the FA’s website.

Schofield joined Town at Under-9 level from local junior side Lepton Highlanders and featured in last season's Under-21 Professional Development League 2 Play-Off Final, where he impressed with some brilliant saves as the Terriers defeated Sheffield United to win the national title.

In the 2016/17 campaign, he’s been a virtual ever-present for the Under-18 side, making 23 starts, on top of an additional two starts for Frankie Bunn’s Under-23 side.

He also signed his first professional contract at the Club in December 2016.
