TEAM NEWS: TOWN vs ROTHERHAM

Hefele & Holmes-Dennis make their first Town starts

- David Wagner makes four changes to HTAFC line-up
- Hefele and Holmes-Dennis make full Town debuts
- Scannell & Whitehead also start this evening

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has handed full debuts to defenders Michael Hefele and Tareiq Holmes-Dennis in tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game against RotherhamUnited; 7.45pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

After six appearances as a substitute so far this season, popular centre back Hefele (pictured above) starts in place of suspended Club Captain Mark Hudson.

Meanwhile, 20 year-old left back Holmes-Dennis makes his competitive Town debut tonight in place of the suspended Chris Löwe. It isn’t his first appearance of the season, however; he played twice as a substitute for previous club Charlton Athletic last month.

Wagner has made a further two changes to the starting XI that faced Reading on Saturday.

One is enforced, with the suspended Rajiv van La Parra replaced on the wing by Sean Scannell. This is Scanz’s first start in six games and his first appearance on the pitch in four matches, due in part to a hip injury.

The final change comes in central midfield, where Dean Whitehead will captain the side on his second start of the season. He replaces Jonathan Hogg, who is among the substitutes tonight.

Due to the suspensions, two players also come into the match day 18 on the bench tonight; Slovenian Under-21 international centre back Jon Gorenc Stanković and Croatian midfielder Ivan Paurević.

Nahki Wells plays up front again this evening in what is his 100th start for Huddersfield Town in all competitions.
