Huddersfield Town's 2016/17 PUMA third kit is revealed and commemorates England World Cup winner Ray Wilson – it’s on sale now!
The brand new red third kit with the tag line “Legends Are Rarely Made” is in honour of former Town full-back Ray Wilson and is launched exactly 50 years to the day since England’s 1966 World Cup victory, where Ray played in the England team that so famously lifted the Jules Rimet trophy. The shirt includes the red Covonia logo across the front of the traditional shirt.
On the back of the shirt just below the circle neck collar has Ray’s signature in white, honouring his wonderful career with Town and England.
The now familiar logo of club partner Northern Commercials appears on the back of the shoulders once again in 2016/17 underneath the signature, whilst the EFL numbers and lettering will also be in white.
Huddersfield Town’s badge on the front of the shirt is white and stands out big and bold, while Ray Wilson’s signature is also on the front of the shirt underneath the crest.
The shorts as modeled by Tommy Smith are white with a red stripe down the side paying homage to the memorable England 1966 kit, while the socks are red. As per the home and away kits the back of the shorts features the logo of new sponsor Develop.

“Ray often reminisces about his playing days and in particular his enjoyable time at Town and we’d like to thank the club for doing this tribute and it is lovely to know that Ray is so well thought of at Town.”

Make sure you get the new kit for Town’s first two away trips of the season, as it is scheduled to be worn against Shrewsbury in the EFL Round One match and when David Wagner’s side travel to St James’ Park to play recently relegated side Newcastle United.
