A number of Huddersfield Town youngsters were involved in Play-Off matches after successful seasons with their clubs.

Bradford City faced Millwall in the League 1 Play-Off final on Saturday 20 May 2017 at Wembley.

On loan Terrier, Jordy Hiwula was an unused substitute for Stuart McCall's side who was beaten 1-0 after an 85th minute winner from Steve Morison.

Despite not featuring in the final, Jordy finished the season as the Club’s top goal scorer, scoring 12 goals in 49 appearances.

The semi-final of the League 1 Play-Offs saw two Town loanees face each other as Jordy’s Bradford City beat Kyle Dempsey’s Fleetwood Town 1-0 on aggregate; Kyle has since joined the Trawlermen on a permanent deal.

Another youngster involved in the Play-Offs was Fraser Horsfall (below) as Salford City faced Halifax Town in the National League North Play-Off semi-finals.



Fraser started both legs for the Manchester-based side who was eventually beaten on penalties after the semi-final finished 2-2 on aggregate.

The semi-final defeat was Fraser’s fourth appearance since joining the Club on loan on 16 March 2017, in what was his third different loan side of the 2016/17 campaign.
