13 April 2017

Young Terriers can see Lightning McQueen at the Perrys Vauxhall Fanzone

- Activities for the whole family at the Perrys Vauxhall Fanzone
- Young Terriers can see Lightning McQueen at PPG Canalside ahead of Preston
- Boothy’s Beer & Banter is with Alan Kennedy at 12.30pm

There’s entertainment for the whole family at Good Friday’s bigger and better PPG Canalside Fanzone, sponsored by Perrys Vauxhall.

Come down to the Club’s PPG Canalside Training Ground and start your match day earlier before heading to Town’s match against Preston North End at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Fanzone kicks off at 11am and young supporters who are fans of the Pixar franchise ‘Cars’ will not want to miss this event, as Lightning McQueen (below) will be making a pit stop at PPG Canalside to meet the Town faithful. As well as Lightning McQueen, there will be a 'Hunt for Mack' treasure hunt.

Once again fans will be able to take a short ride from the Fanzone to the John Smith’s Stadium on the shuttle bus provided by Yorkshire Tiger.

The bus (above) will be making two runs from PPG Canalside to the John Smith’s Stadium both pre and post-match, times confirmed below. Fans will be able to go on the bus for the small cost of £1 each way.

Pre-match departing PPG Canalside:

Leaving at 2.10pm and 2.40pm

Post-match departing the John Smith’s Stadium:

Leaving 10 minutes after full-time (approx. 4.55pm) and at approx. 5.15pm.

For fans wanting to return to PPG Canalside on the shuttle bus, the pickup point will be at the Bus Stop on Bradley Mills Road (opposite Argos).

For the budding footballer, there will be mini goals as well as an inflatable target football game, where the highest goalscorer will receive a signed football from all your favourite Town players!

Alongside this, there will be a Batak reaction game, giving fans the opportunity to test their reflexes, once again with the highest scorer gaining a signed ball.

Club mascot, Terry the Terrier will be on hand to meet and greet with fans, whilst chocolate bunnies will be available to get people in the Easter spirit, but be sure to get down early; because once they're gone, they're gone!

There is also the chance for fans to win a tremendous £1,000 courtesy of Club Partner and Fanzone sponsor Perrys Vauxhall. To win the money all you have to do is predict the correct score for the game against Preston and have your ticket drawn out at random.

GAME will be bringing 'iiyema' monitors for young fans to play FIFA 17, whilst the West Yorkshire Fire brigade will be bringing an appliance for fans to see.

The Club's heated beer tent provided by Holme Valley Marquee, will be open and special refill cups will be available for Huddersfield Town fans to purchase, which will help speed up service ahead of the Sky Bet Championship tie. The souvenir cups can be purchase for just £1 by Town supporters with a beer or for just £2 on their own.

Similarly to the previous Perrys Vauxhall Fanzones, the bar provided by Universal Beers will be serving the Club’s Official Beer Hat-trick, which was brewed in Huddersfield by Club Partner Magic Rock; available for just £2.60.

A variety of other drinks will be available in the outside bar under the marquee, provided by Holme Valley Marquee, so fans can start their match day in the right way!

An extra bar has been included so it is quicker and easier for fans to get served before heading to the John Smith’s Stadium for the Club’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Preston North End.

Don’t forget, Club Ambassador Andy Booth brings his ever popular ‘Boothy's Beer & Banter' to PPG Canalside at 12.30pm and he’ll be joined by Alan Kennedy, who be able to explain to fans what it’s like to score goals in European Cup Finals.

A retail dome (below) will be popping up, allowing fans to get any last minute merchandise to ensure they are ready to fully support David Wagner’s First Team squad, and a full match day menu will be available including the special, fish finger sandwiches.

If all of the above is not enough to entice you then look at this!

The Fanzone will also include a BBQ, table tennis, table football (table), artifaces, who will provide face painting, and balloon modelling, so be sure to head down to PPG Canalside this Friday for all your pre-match fun.

During half-time at the Preston North End match Huddersfield Town will present a cheque to the Alzheimer’s Society from the sale of ‘Wilson 66’ printed shirts.

Upon the release of Town’s third kit, the Club pledged to donate the £10 cost of the ‘Wilson 66’ printing on the back of shirts to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Tickets are still available for the Preston North End match; from just £15 for adults!
