LOAN: TOWN YOUNGSTERS VYING FOR PROMOTION

Update on all nine Town players out on loan

- An update on Town's nine players out on loan
- Rekeil Pyke has started three times for Colchester United
- Joe Murphy has kept seven clean sheets for far this season

Young Huddersfield Town striker Rekeil Pyke has made seven appearances for League 2 side Colchester United as he helps the Club battle for promotion.

htafc.com has an update on all nine Town players who are currently out on loan at other clubs across England and Europe; check out the details below.



Rekeil Pyke, Colchester United

Youngster Rekeil Pyke has made seven appearances for Colchester United so far this season; starting three of them.

He made his English Football League debut for the League 2 side in a 3-2 defeat against Crawley, coming on for the final 13 minutes of the match.

After impressing both in training and when coming off the bench, Rekeil has started the last three games for the U's, who beat Luton Town 2-1 last weekend, leaving the Club in 10th place; two points off the Play-Offs.

After Rekeil made is full debut for Colchester United in a 2-0 win over Mansfield Town, Manager John McGreal described the striker as a “beast of a kid”.



Jordy Hiwula, Bradford City

Jordy Hiwula has continued to remain a key part of Bradford City’s side as the Club sits fifth in the Sky Bet League 1 table.



So far this season, the 22 year-old has made 44 appearances for the Bantam’s in all competitions and is currently the top scorer at the Club with 12 goals.

After an impressive January, scoring four goals in seven games, the striker – who can also play out wide – last hit the back of the net against Coventry City on Saturday 11 March 2017.



Joe Murphy, Bury FC

35 year-old goalkeeper Joe Murphy, has made 11 appearances since joining the League 1 side on loan at the end of the January transfer window.

Murphy has kept an impressive seven clean sheets since joining the Club from Huddersfield Town as Bury looks to move further away from the relegation places.



Kyle Dempsey, Fleetwood Town

Dempsey (pictured below) has been a key part of Fleetwood Town’s success this season and recently scored his first goal of the campaign.

 

The midfielder drilled a left footed shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the area in a 4-2 win over Bolton Wanderers, also on Saturday 11 March 2017.

Playing in a slightly deeper more creative role, the youngster has been ever present for Uwe Rösler’s side.

He’s played 37 times this season and has five assists to his name as Fleetwood sits third in the League 1 table; six points off the automatic promotion places.



Jason Davidson, FC Groningen

After a short spell out of the FC Groningen side, both before and after the Dutch winter break, the full back worked his way back into the starting line-up.

The 25 year-old returned as his side lost 3-2 to FC Utrecht. Since then he has gone on to make three other appearances, including a 1-1 draw against Ajax.

The defender has made 13 appearances so far this season as FC Groningen sits 12th in the Eredivisie table with 29 points from 27 games.



Flo Bojaj, Newport County

After his loan move to Newport County in January, Flo Bojaj has only appeared once for the League 2 side.

He came on as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Colchester United; his side currently sits in 23rd place, six points from safety.



Fraser Horsfall, Salford City

After moving to Salford City on 16 March 2017, Fraser (below) is yet to make his debut for the Vanarama National League North side.



The loan move came about after the youngster impressed at both Trafford FC and Stalybridge Celtic earlier this season.



Jamie Spencer, Bradford Park Avenue

Despite only joining Bradford Park Avenue on Friday 24 March 2017, Jamie Spencer was named on the bench in the Club’s 2-1 win over Altrincham.

Spencer’s new side currently sits 18th in the Vanarama National League North table with 37 points from 35 games.



Callum Elliott, Spennymoor Town

Callum Elliott joined Spennymoor Town on Work Experience on 10 March 2017.

He is yet to start for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side, however, he has been training with the First Team since joining the Club.
