PREVIEW: HOME DERBY FOR U18s ON SATURDAY

18 November 2016

Tony Carss’ side in action at PPG Canalside

- HTAFC Under-18s host Leeds United on Saturday
- 11am kick-off at PPG Canalside
- Food and drink available pre and post-match

Can’t make it to watch Town’s First Team in Wales this weekend? Why not come down and cheer on Tony Carss’ Under-18 side in a West Yorkshire derby against Leeds United instead!

The young Terriers host Leeds United at Town’s PPG Canalside training complex (509 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, HD2 1YJ) in an 11am Professional Development League kick-off.

The game is entirely free to watch, with the pitch located at the back of the facility over the canal.

There’s even breakfast on offer, with the PPG Canalside kitchen open from 9am and serving breakfast butties such as bacon, sausage or both!

Lead Professional Development Coach Carss’ young scholars come into the game looking to bounce back from a 4-2 home defeat at the hands of Barnsley last weekend, when the ruthless Tykes punished the Terriers for some mistakes in possession. Highlights of that game are below courtesy of HTTV.

Town sits seventh in the 10-team northern table after that result, with 19 points from the first 13 games of the season.

Saturday’s opponent sits ninth in the league, six points behind Town.

As always, the top two sides from the northern table will qualify for the end-of-season Professional Development League Play-Offs against the equivalent southern table sides to crown the overall U18 PDL champion.

Town’s official Twitter account, @htafcdotcom, will bring you the team news and goal updates on the morning.
