Goalkeeper happy with his third successive clean sheet

Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Joel Coleman was delighted with his clean sheet in today’s Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round draw with Manchester City.
The 21 year-old is yet to concede a goal in three starts in the competition this season, with his latest coming against Pep Guardiola’s side at a sold-out John Smith’s Stadium this afternoon.
“It was a very tough game today against top, top opposition in Man City,” Joel told htafc.com.
“We dug deep, put bodies on the line, blocked shots and won challenges; everyone ran their socks off for the whole game.
“The Head Coach told us to press them, not let them turn, upset them and get in their faces. He asked us to believe we could go and win it.
“David told us we’ve played well afterwards. We’ve got a great squad and it’s good that everyone is playing and doing so well.”
Coleman made several impressive saves in the first-half to keep the score level.
“I was happy with my game today; I made some big saves at crucial times. If we had gone one goal down early on, it would have been hard to get back into the game.
"I need to improve on a few things, which I will address in training.
“I’m happy to get another game under my belt and hopefully I can play in the replay, but we’ll see what comes.”
The former Oldham stopper is eagerly anticipating the replay, which is provisionally set for 28 February.
Joel continued: “We drew, but now we get a trip to the Etihad. All the players work hard and it would have been great to nick one, but that wasn’t the case. I’m happy we dug deep and kept a clean sheet to get the replay.
“It’s a great achievement for us, but now we focus back on the league on Tuesday night. Hopefully we can get the three points there and then enjoy the trip to the Etihad when it comes.
“We’ve still got a very good task ahead of us, but I believe that the squad. It’s not the biggest, but we’ve got two great players for every position and that is a big thing that the Head Coach has brought; competition.”
Now the focus for Coleman and co. is a return to Sky Bet Championship action when Reading visits the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday night.
“It’s a massive game for us. We’ll work as hard as we did today and hopefully come away with three points.”
