PREVIEW: UNDER-23s FACE BARNSLEY ON FRIDAY

20 October 2016

Frankie Bunn's youngsters travel to Barnsley for their second match in a week

- Town Under-23s away at Barnsley on Friday afternoon
- Terriers face Barnsley at 1pm
- Huddersfield Town fans can attend the match

Frankie Bunn’s table-topping Under-23s will face Barnsley on Friday (21 October) for their second Professional Development League match in a week.

Huddersfield Town supporters can attend the match on Friday 21 October and it will kick off at 1pm at Barnsley FC’s Training Complex next to Oakwell (Grove Street, Barnsley, S71 1ET).

The young Terriers go into the game looking to bounce back from their PDL2 league defeat against Sheffield United on Monday. A second half United strike earned the away side the win after Philip Billing saw red for two bookable offences; watch highlights from the game below courtesy of HTTV.

Despite the defeat, Town remained at the top of the 10-team Professional Development League North table, with 16 points from nine games, ahead of second placed Hull City on goal difference.

Friday’s opponents Barnsley sits seventh in the PDL2 North after obtaining 11 points from their first nine games. Managed by former defender Bobby Hassell, they come into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday.
