Around 3,200 people attended Huddersfield Town’s PPG Canalside training ground for the Club’s annual Firework Display, held in association with Club Partner Standard Fireworks.

Gates opened to the public at 5pm on Sunday evening and there were plenty of activities for people of all ages to get involved in, prior to the fantastic fireworks display that lit the skies above the Club’s HD2 based training ground.

Live entertainment was put on by Club Partner Pulse 1 and went on throughout the evening which was hosted by Paul Foster who hosts shows on Pulse between 10am and 2pm weekdays as well as Saturday mornings.

Local people and families made the most of the vast amount of fun fair rides and attractions during the evening, while the event also gave an opportunity for around 20 local business to showcase their food, crafts and balloon making skills.

Children were also excited as they were given the opportunity to sit in a fire engine and a police van as West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and West Yorkshire Police’s Community Support Officers showed their support of the event. The fire service was also showing off their new calendar 2017 ‘Red Hot Dates’ to raise money for a number of different charities.

Huddersfield Town First Team players Michael Hefele and Club record signing Christopher Schindler were also in attendance. They posed for pictures, signed autographs and spoke to fans about the season so far.

They also took advantage of some of the thrilling fairground rides that had been put on for the event.

Everyone’s favourite mascot ‘Terry the Terrier’ and his girlfriend ‘Tilly the Terrier’ came to visit Town’s young fans before Terry began the fireworks show with both of Town’s First Team players.

The spectacular fireworks display began just after 7:30pm and finished after 15 to 20 minutes with a spectacular ending.
