HAVE A PRE-MATCH PINT AT PPG CANALSIDE FANZONE

Leigh Bromby's Under-18s side faces Crewe Alexandra at PPG Canalside; 11am KO

Start your match day early and come down to PPG Canalside for your pre-match pint in the Club’s outside bar at this weekend's fanzone, sponsored by Perrys Vauxhall.

On top of the activities confirmed earlier this week, for supporters of all ages, an outside bar will be available for people aged over-18, serving the Club’s Official Beer Hat-trick, which was brewed by Club Partner Magic Rock; available for just £2.60.

A variety of other drinks will be available in the outside bar under a marquee, provided by Holmes Valley Marquees, so fans can start their match day in the right way!

An extra bar has been included so it is quicker and easier for fans to get served before heading to the John Smith’s Stadium for the Club’s Sky Bet Championship match against Ipswich Town.

Boothy’s Beer and Banter is also taking place as part of the fanzone, which is sponsored by Perrys Vauxhall. Boothy will be taking questions from fans and interviewing European Cup winner Alex Stepney.

Fans of all ages will be able to show off their skills and take control of the likes of Lionel Messi and Elias Kachunga on FIFA 17. A games arena is available during the fanzone, kindly provided by GAME, so fans can get in the mood for the 3pm kick-off.

That’s not all! We have a series of challenges and games our younger fans can take part in. The youngsters will be able to find out how hard their shot is and be able to test their skills by kicking balls through targets at PPG Canalside. These games are more have been provided by Globe Game Sports and will help excite the young Terriers before they make the short walk to the John Smith’s Stadium.



Sponsors of the brand new fanzone, Perrys Vauxhall are also bringing some of their new cars down for supporters to see, while Town Foundation Mascot Captain Booth will be on hand to say hello to our young Terriers.

Food is also available at PPG Canalside, as well as the usual match day menu a BBQ will also be available to fans, starting from 11am.

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director, Sean Jarvis said:

“We encourage all fans to come to PPG Canalside and to start their celebration day early.

“We are delighted to have an outside beer marque for our supporters aged over-18 and for our fanzones in the future we are looking at ways we can use this to help fans get served faster.

“As a Club we are delighted to have everything confirmed for the launch of our brand new fanzone, but I can assure you we are looking to expand this over the course of the season!

“It would be fantastic to see a number of you at PPG Canalside for this exciting brand new event and I hope you enjoy everything we have put into place.”



Don’t forget if you want an early football fix during the fanzone you can come and support Leigh Bromby’s Under-18s side as Town’s youngsters faces Crewe Alexandra.

The Young Terriers will host Crewe on Saturday 21 January, 11am kick-off, at PPG Canalside in an U18 Professional Development League fixture.

If you want to watch some football before taking advantage of the activities on offer at the fanzone then head over to the pitches over the canal; staff will be available at PPG Canalside to point you in the right direction.

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s heads into the game on the back of a 5-1 away win against Hull City; the first match since Professional Development Coach Leigh Bromby took sole charge of the youngsters. Highlights from the match are available below courtesy of HTTV.



Town’s youngsters currently sits in fourth place in the table, amassing 29 points from 18 games with an impressive plus 14 goal difference.

This weekend’s opposition Crewe Alexandra currently sits one place above the Young Terriers after its 2-2 draw with Leeds United. They have gained 32 points from 19 games and a win for Bromby’s side this weekend will see the youngsters go into third position.

As always, the top two sides from the northern table will qualify for the end-of-season Professional Development League Play-Offs against the equivalent southern table sides, to crown the overall U18 PDL Champion.
