Narrow defeat at PPG Canalside

- HTAFC U18s lose to Bolton Wanderers
- Cedwyn Scott nets Town's goal
- Highlights on HTTV next week

A Huddersfield Town Under-18 side with a different look to it lost by a goal’s margin to Bolton Wanderers in the U18 Professional Development League at PPG Canalside on Saturday morning.

Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss’ team included two trialists in the wide attacking areas, with both James Medford and Tyrese Shade playing the full 90 minutes.

Regular centre half pairing Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Ben Jackson were both injured, meaning left back Harry Clibbens captained the side from the middle of the defence.

Bolton took the lead after 20 minutes, but eight minutes later the young Terriers equalised through second year striker Cedwyn Scott (pictured above).

The eventual winner came from Bolton in the 41st minute, with Town unable to find another equaliser in the second 45 minutes.

Highlights from the game will appear on HTTV during the week.

Town’s team (4-2-3-1):
Ryan Schofield; Sam Gibson (Denilson Carvalho, 60), Harry Clibbens (c), Callum Elliott, Alfie Raw; Isaac Marriott, Olly Dyson; James Medford, Dom Tear (George Danaher, 60), Tyrese Shade; Cedwyn Scott (Mason O’Malley, 80)
