Huddersfield Town defender Jordan Williams has been called-up to the England Under-18s squad for the first time.

Town’s defender has been selected in Neil Dewsnip’s squad and could make his debut for the young Lions in a mini international tournament starting next month.

Both of the Under-18s matches are at home as they take on Italy and Israel.

Williams, who has made seven appearances for England’s Under-17s, has been selected alongside defenders from Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Their first match will take place on Thursday 1 September against Italy at Fleetwood Town’s Highbury Stadium; kick-off at 7pm.

Just four days later Dewsnip’s squad will take on Israel at Morecombe’s Globe Arena; 7pm kick-off.

Williams will travel to England’s Training Ground, St. George’s Park, on Sunday 28 September meaning he will miss Town’s Under-23s matches against Hull City and Nottingham Forest.

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s travel to table toppers Sheffield United this weekend for their third PDL match of the season.

Tony Carss side go into the match with confidence on the back of their 5-2 win against Colchester United.

Young striker Cedwyn Scott scored a hat-trick and you can watch the highlights from HTTV below.

The young Terriers currently sit second in the PDL North just two points behind leaders Sheffield United.

Coached by Derek Geary, this weekend’s opponents have beaten both Coventry City and Millwall so far this season, 2-1 and 6-0 respectively.
