Striker makes permanent transfer to Town from Finnish champions HJK Helsinki

- Bojan Radulović signs for Huddersfield Town
- 24-year-old centre forward joins from Finnish champions HJK
- Comments from Mark Cartwright and Darren Moore

We are delighted to announce the signing of Serbian centre forward Bojan Radulović on a permanent transfer from Finnish champions HJK!

Bojan has joined the Terriers for an undisclosed fee and has put pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal that runs until the summer of 2027. His move is still pending international clearance from the football authorities.

Having only recently turned 24-years-old on 29 December 2023, Spanish-born Bojan began his youth career with Catalonia based Lleida Esportiu before making the move to England with Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018. On the back of loans with Espanyol B and Alavés B, he made a permanent move to Swedish giants AIK in 2020, spending two years with the side before making a loan move to Finnish titans HJK permanent in 2022.

Standing at 6’3, Radulović is a presence in the final third with an eye for goal and appreciation of space, allowing him to bring the ball down and link up play with his midfield and fellow forwards.

Arriving with two Finnish league titles – he was the division’s top scorer with 18 goals in 2023 – a domestic cup win and experience of European football under his belt, Bojan netted 36 times in 78 appearances for HJK, including an almost one-in-two return of six in 13 games so far this campaign in European competitions.

Huddersfield Town Sporting Director Mark Cartwright commented:

“Working to clearly defined goals ahead of this transfer window, we knew that we wanted to attract players to the Club who could positively impact our First Team immediately, bring new skills and options to what already existed within our squad and help us play the brand of football that we desire to; Bojan ticks all of those boxes for us, and more.

“Not only a great asset for now, he has the potential to get even better with time having only just celebrated turning 24, so we’re delighted to tie him down to a long-term contract and have him buy in to what we’re trying to achieve at the Club going forward.

“A different type of forward to what we currently have available, he will wear the number nine because that’s exactly what he is, and I’m excited to see the impact his eye for goal and ability to hold the ball up has on the side.”

Huddersfield Town Manager Darren Moore added:

“A forward of Bojan’s profile is someone we’ve really wanted to introduce to the squad, so I’m absolutely delighted that he’s signed a long-term contract with the Club.

“We are blessed with real attacking talent and flair in wide areas and midfield, but through injury and unavailability have lacked a forward who can help tie that all together, finish chances in the box with regularity and create space and opportunities for others to exploit, which his size, skill and ability will now allow us.

“Arriving at a really exciting time in his career with a consistent goalscoring record at an impressive level of competition, I’m exciting to start working with him straight away and see what we can have him bring to the side as soon as possible.”

Welcome to the Terriers, Bojan!
