MARCH 2022 INTERNATIONAL BREAK: CALL-UPS

27 March 2022

A look at Huddersfield Town’s international call-ups for the March 2022 fixtures

- Nine players across Huddersfield Town called-up
- Sorba Thomas and Danel Sinani make senior international squads
- Seven players across First Team and Academy called-up to age groups

With nine call-ups across both the First Team and Academy, here are the players on duty during the March 2020 International Break!

With two senior call-ups, alongside seven age group call-ups, nine Town players have been selected to represent their country for the March 2022 internationals.

Sorba Thomas

Continuing his impressive early season form that saw Rob Page hand him his Wales debut, Sorba Thomas is once again a part of the Welsh squad.

With crucial fixtures to play, they will face Austria on Thursday 24 March for a place in the final of the World Cup Qualifiers, where they will meet the winner of Scotland vs Ukraine, a game that has been rescheduled.

Danel Sinani

After continuing to impress on his loan from Norwich City, Sinani has again been called up to represent Luxembourg.

Sinani will be hoping to take his good run of form for Town with him into the international break, where his side take on Northern Ireland and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Scott High

Scott High has been called up to represent Scotland’s U21s in the UEFA Under 21s Championship Qualifiers.

Scotland U21s currently sit third in Group I, with fixtures against Turkey and Kazakhstan to come during the international break.

Lewi Colwill

Having just recently returned from injury, Colwill has been called up to represent England’s U21s.

The young defender will be hoping to get his first minutes at this level with England when they take on Andorra U21s and Albania U21s.

Tino Anjorin

After making his debut for England’s U20s last October, Anjorin has received another call-up.

Much like Colwill, Anjorin has returned to full fitness in time to represent his country in games against Poland U20s and Germany U20s.

Brodie Spencer and Conor Falls

Brodie Spencer has received another call-up to the Northern Ireland U19s side after making his debut for his country in September 2021.

Spencer will head off to compete in the Federation’s Cup in Spain, competing against Norway, Belgium and Czech Republic.

Spencer will be joined on international duty by fellow Town player Conor Falls.

Having made his debut for Gerrard Lyttle’s Northern Ireland Under-19s side in 2021, Falls will be hoping to make another appearance during the Federation’s Cup.

Nicholas Bilokapic and Jacob Chapman

Our two young Australian goalkeepers have been selected for the Socceroos’ U23s training camp, adding to their previous experience of youth football for their country.

Having been unable to join their international colleagues for some time due to Covid-19 concerns, this European based camp will give both chance to continue their development within the Australian set up.
