As well as the opener, here are some of the other key dates on Town’s fixtures, which can be viewed in full HERE.

Please note the fixtures are currently in draft form, with confirmation of TV selections after the opening weekend still to follow.

THE FIRST AWAY GAME

Town will travel to London to face Queens Park Rangers at the newly named Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on the weekend of Saturday 10 August 2019.

THE OPENING MONTH

After the trip to QPR, Jan Siewert’s side faces the other two relegated Premier League sides; Fulham (H) on 17 August and Cardiff City (A) in the following midweek.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR

A home game against Nottingham Forest leads into the Christmas period, with games scheduled away at Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and at home to Blackburn Rovers on 29 December.

Town will host Stoke City at the John Smith’s Stadium on New Year’s Day.

EASTER

Town will travel to Reading for a game scheduled for Good Friday (10 April) at 3pm, with an Easter Monday game at home to newly promoted Luton Town on 13 April, also scheduled for 3pm.

THE RUN-IN

The final fixtures see Town travel to Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 18 April, with a home game against West Bromwich Albion following on 25 April.

The final fixture of the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship season will see Town travel to Millwall, when all fixtures will kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday 2 May 2020.

YORKSHIRE DERBIES

In an interesting quirk, Town will play all five Yorkshire opponents at home first this coming season.

Town’s first Yorkshire derby takes place against Sheffield Wednesday in a game scheduled for Saturday 14 September.

The first West Yorkshire derby against Leeds United is scheduled for the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday 7 December.

WHEN IS LUTON TOWN AWAY?

You don’t have to wait long, Town fans! The Terriers will travel to Kenilworth Road on Saturday 31 August 2019.
