Huddersfield Town duo Mohammed Bhana and Carl Dickinson have been nominated for prizes at the 2019 Yorkshire Choice Awards.

The Yorkshire Choice Awards is a ceremony that celebrates the achievements made by inspiring individuals and businesses across the County.

Winners are chosen via a public vote with prizes given at the awards ceremony held on Saturday 6 April 2019 at the Centenary Pavilion at Elland Road.

Huddersfield Town’s Fan Ambassador Mohammed Bhana has been nominated for the Business Man of the Year award – a prize that is currently held by Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis!

Mohammed, who was named as the Professional of the Year at the Yorkshire Asian Business Association (YABA) Awards in October 2018, is the Public Relations Director for Kahn Designs, which specialises in inspirational design realisation within the automobile industry.

Alongside this, Mohammed has helped Huddersfield Town’s Marketing and Communications Team tailor its work to appeal to the local Asian communities.

The Terriers’ second nominee is PPG Canalside’s Facilities Steward Carl Dickinson.

Carl will be well known by Huddersfield Town fans who have spent time at the Club’s Training Ground both in the week and on match days and those who have taken part in the Pedal for Pounds rides, which raises money for charity.

Despite a tragic accident in 1983 that caused him to lose his upper limbs, it hasn’t stopped Carl from giving everything he can to help his local team.

He volunteered at Huddersfield Town for over 10 years and his hard work, personable approach and commitment saw him become a full-time employee of the Club. Carl has a truly inspirational story.

Please note that voting closes on Friday 1 March 2019.

Town picked up three prizes during 2018; Huddersfield Town won Sporting Achievement, Operation’s Director Ann Hough was named Business Woman of the Year and Commercial Director Sean Jarvis received the Business Man of the Year award.
