Town's Under-21 side qualified for the end of season Professional Development League 2 Play-Offs thanks to a 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday at PPG Canalside on Thursday.

Irish attacker Ronan Coughlan scored a brace on the afternoon, with Jake Charles grabbing the other goal. Highlights of that game are below via HTTV!

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side will be targeting a third straight Professional Development League 2 victory on Saturday against Crystal Palace at PPG Canalside.

The side, which is managed by Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss, currently sits in fourth position; five points off second placed Sheffield United with a game in hand. The second place spot in the table is all-important, as the top two teams qualify for the end of season Play-Offs.

Crystal Palace occupies third position in the southern section of the league, with 42 points from 27 matches.

The Professional Development League 2 is split into two regional divisions, North and South. Teams play opponents in their own division twice and the other division once, before the top two teams from each league meet in the Play-Offs to determine the overall champions.

The young Terriers are in fine form heading into the fixture after coming away with the three points at bitter rivals Barnsley last week with a 3-2 win, thanks to goals from Sam Warde and Cedwyn Scott, whilst Olly Dyson got on the scoresheet for the first time at Under-18 level. Highlights of the game are below courtesy of HTTV!

Town fans can watch the youngsters in action at PPG Canalside before David Wagner’s First Team come up against Hull City at the John Smith’s Stadium. Entry to the U18 game, which will kick-off at 11am on the pitch over the canal at the back of the facility, is free.
