TOWN DUO GET WALES U21 CALL

Wright and Charles in line to play Denmark

- Huddersfield Town pair in Wales Under-21 squad
- Joe Wright & Jake Charles in line to play Denmark
- Game in Aalborg on 9 October 2015

Huddersfield Town’s Joe Wright and Jake Charles have been included in the Wales Under-21 squad for an upcoming UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier in Denmark.

The Town duo – both graduates of the Huddersfield Town Academy – have been included in Manager Geraint Williams’ squad for the qualifying group match in Aalborg on Friday 9 October; 6.45pm kick-off local time.

Wales’ Under-21 side sits top of qualifying group 5 after winning its first two matches against Bulgaria and Luxembourg.

The winners of the group, which also includes Romania and Armenia, will progress to the final tournament.

Centre back Joe, 20, has started both of the qualifying wins for Wales, whereas 19 year-old attacker Jake made his Wales Under-21 debut as a sub in the 3-1 win at Luxembourg in September.

Joe is currently on a Youth Loan at League 2 Accrington Stanley until January 2016, where he made his first start of the season during the team’s 3-0 win at Crawley Town on Saturday.

Meanwhile Jake has returned from an early season loan spell at Guiseley and has made five starts and one substitute appearance for Town’s Under-21 side this term, scoring once.

This international summons adds to calls for Jason Davidson (Australia) and Jordan Williams (England U17s).

Town fans can pay just £10 at the gate for Town's next Championship home game vs MK Dons on 20 October!
