One fan and one Town legend were the big winners at Huddersfield Town’s big Blue & White Foundation £20,000 draw at PPG Canalside on Thursday evening.
Huddersfield Town fan Miles Dixon, from Almondbury, has been a Blue & White Foundation member – contributing his £2 a week to the Club’s Academy – since 2012 and was the lucky man drawn from all 2,000 plus members last night to scoop the big £20,000 jackpot.
Miles is pictured above collecting his giant cheque from the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday.
In a night of laughs all around in front of a 160-strong crowd in PPG Canalside’s Radcliffe Suite, the other big winners were former Town player Geoff Hutt and his wife Barbara, who saw off challenges from other Town heroes to win the inaugural ‘Mr and Mrs’ competition.
Geoff and Barbara lined up in the ultimate test of marital knowledge against two formidable couples; Academy Manager Mark Lillis and his wife Jean and Club Ambassador Andy Booth and his wife Cheryl.
Hosted by Town’s match day announcer Paul Ramsden, each couple was asked four questions with four multiple choice answers to start the competition.
After that came the famous ‘paddle round’, where each couple had to agree on the same eight quick-fire questions.
The two couples with the most correct answers – the Hutts and the Booths – went onto the final, when they were each asked five questions that they had to agree on.

On top of the entertainment, attendees enjoyed a pie and pea supper and a raffle for signed merchandise and other items.
