WATCH HIGHLIGHTS FROM SCANZ’S 2014/15

Video showcasing winger’s breakout season

Sean Scannell has always been the kind of player who lends himself to a highlights reel, but by many barometers his 2014/15 season was the best of his career so far.

The powerful winger – who is still only 24 years old – flourished under the management of Chris Powell, predominantly in a new right wing-back role.

His four goals and six assists were both seasonal highs for the Terriers since joining the Club upon its return to the Sky Bet Championship in 2012.

More interestingly, the 3,457 minutes he played in the league – 84% of the possible maximum – represented a huge leap forward for ‘Scanz’. Prior to that his seasonal high was just 2,331 minutes for former club Crystal Palace in 2011/12; just 56% of the team’s league minutes in the season.

All this led to the Londoner being voted the Club’s Players’ Player of the Year at the 2015 Annual Awards ceremony, as well as finishing a very close runner-up in the fans’ Hargreaves Memorial Trophy voting behind winner Jacob Butterfield.

Watch a few highlights – goals, assists, dribbles and defending – from Sean’s 2014/15 campaign below via the Club’s official YouTube channel!
